Sala 3.2 21 17:00 Building on the framework established with Terminal Services and RemoteApp publishing in Windows Server 2008, Remote Desktop Services in Windows Server 2008 R2 has been extended to include Remote Desktop Services Virtualization (RDS-V), also known as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). RDS-V provides remote desktop access to managed desktop environments hosted in Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2. In the same manner that RemoteApps in Terminal Services for Windows Server 2008 made specific applications available to users through individual Terminal Services sessions, RDS-V provides access to specific virtual machines (i.e. virtual desktops) through individual Remote Desktop Services sessions.
