SP2010 Remote BLOB Storage Deep Dive

Sala 3.3 22 16:30 Remote BLOB Storage (RBS) is the concept of getting large binary content out of the SharePoint content database. There are many benefits of this technology particularly in the areas of scalability and disaster recovery. In this session, we’ll briefly look at why it’s so important that Microsoft has included this technology in SharePoint 2010. Then we’ll quickly move on to the nuts and bolts of the RBS framework and how they relate to SharePoint followed by a live demonstration of an RBS implementation. Finally, we’ll take a look at the impact of RBS to SharePoint 2010 scalable architecture.
